The Co.Me.B. SRL has produced a vacuum recovery system for OHB Italia, called VRS, with the aim of carrying out operations to restore the vacuum conditions inside the Vacuum Chambers for the NEOSTEL CCD camera of the ASTROCAD program of the European Space Agency (ESA).

The VRS is composed of:

- 2 Pumps;

- Measurement instruments;

- Section valves and connections.

The system consists of 2 pumps, a primary pump to carry out the pre-vacuum and a turbomolecular pump to achieve the optimal vacuum level. The measurement instrumentation is given by the use of a vacuum gauge, which allows the measurement of pressure. The sectioning valves are electro-pneumatic and determine the pumping group, they are operated remotely according to the process logic.

This system also consists of a lift, an electrical cabinet placed on a mobile bench and a container for transport and storage.
